Chengdu Taste Zī Wèi Chéng Dōu

This restaurant used to be my favorite one before the pandemic of COVID-19. The new opened one does not carry the authentic Chinese Sichuan style cooking, and is replaced by a taste of PF Chang. This may not be bad for most Americans but for Chinese or those Americans who drive all the way to this restaurant for an authentic Chinese taste, it is disappointing. The waitresses are not well trained. My rice was brought to my table with her thumb touching the rice. The atmosphere is still quite nice and you can order your meal by scanning an image on the table.

Still like the food here, so they get 3 stars, but the contactless ordering is for the birds. Takes longer than a waiter order. Pandemic is over, time to get back to full service. Starting now I am leaving only half tips when I come here, appropriate for half service and putting the workload on the customer.

The food was absolutely horrible. You could tell immediately it’s not fresh. I came here once before Covid and it was fine but don’t know what happened to them. Also the service was bad too. The waitress literally threw the dish on the table. Do not recommend this place. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3

I am so glad that they have finally reopened this restaurant because it has been closed a past and I did not know whether it would be temporary or permanent. I decided.

amazingly spicy and delicious. as good as those in vegas. Many of the dishes are also anesthetic, due to the Chinese pfeffer grains and it is oil. so many.

That good burn. Toothpick lamb was awesome. Also loved that you could get some yogurt if you chomped into a chili you were not ready for.

They were closed for a while at the end of 2021 but recently reopened, so happy they are back. Great food and service.
