Cheriton Fish Chips

We have ordered from here a few times. it's usually great. the cheesy chips was good but it had added extras like batter and what seemed like the dregs of the chip pan. The halloumi was deep fat fried and burnt. I have had halloumi from there before and it was great. The onion rings were good. Maybe they were busy and just rushed the food because it was so disappointing and not anything like their normal quality.

The fish used to have a super light and delicious batter, but unfortunately, that was not the case today. It was overcooked and had a hard, dark orange batter that seemed like it had been fried multiple times. It was not very enjoyable to eat. I am disappointed as this used to be my favorite fish and chip shop, but I am unsure about returning after today's experience.

Really nice staff, very chatty. Ordered for collection but it wasn't ready when I arrived. I was told they were making the chips fresh. Very big portions. Could have got 1 small portion between 2 of us

Arrived before we were expecting it. Well done. Food is always good from Cheriton fish and chip shop, and it was still lovely and hot! Would recommend. Réservez une table maintenant

usually great but last couple of orders we have had one lovely fish and one overcooked with half the size. not as consistent as it use to be

Food good pity she didn’t leave things as she found them gate left wide open and not closed .
