I asked the customer if there was any possibility to order 3 meat from my choice, and he replied that they did not get rid of it. I was like okay? ll downsize on 2 meats I guess if that's my only option that allows me to get my meat. For this reason alone, I will never return to Chester. I bought a cup for the sweet tea they always have and disappointed again. I don't know why they would take away any possibility for me to choose 3 meats. I tried and literally didn't say anything! Hands down the best bbq place in the north east. I was in Austin Tx. Earlier this year I went to a famous bbq restaurant and did not taste better than Chester?s bbq. I believe I spoke to the owner there and he was telling how some people travel from Jersey, Boston, PA, on a weekly or monthly bases just to get this bbq. And I don?t blame them because I will be one of them as well lol. The meats are very tender and so tasty. The place smells so good cuz the smoker is inside and when you come out you will also smell like bbq. Nothing else to say, just go and try for your self then thank me later.

Next to Texas!!!! I had the best in my opinion in Texas and I bet Chester?s knows what I'm talking about. Moving to Connecticut from the West and decided to try this place after church Sunday morning and I am glad that I did it! I knew when I went into the door, it'll be good!! It was $54 for three of us to eat and we couldn't finish it. Please remain open forever!?

Repulsive food. Honestly. I've been looking forward to trying this place for a long time.. I got brisket, chili, rice and beans with cornbread.. the chili tastes like bbq sauce and the brisket was just boring. This food also made me terribly sick. I spent my night vomiting after eating here. I wouldn't recommend. I won't return. 10/10 not worth the price.
I was just in the Groton location and ordered a #4 combo Ribs and BBQ, after ordering I was told that the ribs would be spare ribs! I was under the impression that where the menu designated ?ribs? they would be baby backs unless otherwise noted specifically as ?spare ribs? especially at $88 for 1 rack and 1lb of bbq.
Food was good. I liked the brisket (which is always my judgement), but the coleslaw would be a pass next time. Just taste like mayo in a salad needs something more. Ribs were good, and sausage was good too. The sweet sauce is one I’ve never tasted before and loved it on the ribs.

You can't go wrong wit the Sampler for 2! everything is delicious pork ribs, chicken plus collard greens and baked beans!!
$30 for 1 person to eat lunch is absurd. Very clean bathrooms. Very friendly staff. The food was okay at best.
