"We visited this restaurant for lunch. Fanstastic location and view. Good service and good food. However this restaurant is not of Michelin quality. Food was very under seasoned, pigeon and beef were both over cooked. I must say we were expecting better."

I'm not sure if this was an unusually off night at L'Oggi or what? The service was okay though the servers didn't seem to care whether we were enjoying the meal or not. We ordered the tasting menu and were disappointed with each dish served. A lot of imagination but the flavors were disjointed and seemed thrown together. Each course looked like it would taste good and looked like good technique, but completely failed to inspire and even be worth eating. It almost seemed like their chef and sous-chef were missing and replaced by inexperienced kitchen help who had at their disposal good ingredients. And to top it off, this meal was quite expensive. we paid more for this meal than the fabulous...
We stayed at the hotel of the same name for a couple of nights. The restaurant is excellent, with a short but varied menu offering four entrees, two fish, two meat and three dessert options or two tasting menus. They use top quality fresh ingredients in creative and tasty dishes that are all different. The young chef obviously has an excellent team behind him. Front of house is the same with a knowledgeable maitre D heading a young but very capable friendly team. The owner was ever present and worked hard to ensure all goes well. In difficult times for the industry well done.
Mon partenaire a organisé le repas dans le cadre de notre séjour à l'hôtel, comme repas d'anniversaire, le premier soir de notre séjour. Malgré la bonne nourriture pendant le reste des vacances, rien n'a réussi à surpasser non seulement le repas, mais aussi le personnel et l'expérience culinaire de celui-ci. Tout était de qualité Michelin et son prix était en fait plutôt raisonnable. Les entrées, les plats principaux et les puddings étaient tous impeccables, avec un service brillant de la part du personnel entre les deux. J'y retournerais sans hésiter.
We had the best dinner we have ever had at L'Oggi a couple of weeks ago while hiking on Corsica. The Cepes with rocket, pistachio sponge and berries served on a piece of pine log was a blend absolutely amazing flavors. Never had I had anything like it. The John Dory with sauce of chlorophyll and shellfish and oil of Corsican lemon with oysters wrapped in radish was out of this world. The lamb was tender and perfect. We were blown away by this place. It is absolutely amazing and the staff was excellent as was the local Corsican wine.
