This has been my favourite French restaurant since I first tried it in 2014 (I’m French, in case you are not and wondering where to get food French food… search no more, this is it). It’s always been amazing, but I was there again tonight and I can safely say it’s the best it’s ever been. The cheese soufflé is to die for, and the onglet is just out of this world. For dessert, the pistachio crème brûlée has been my strong favourite for a few years now. I think it’s safe to say Lili and her team have done a fantastic job, and every time my partner and I come, we remember Nadia’s incredible customer service and her unique presence, and I’m sure she would be proud to see how well the team is doi...

We went to Chez Elles with friends who had never been before, and we have been several times in the past. We are always impressed by everything at this place. This time was no exception – the food and service were exceptional as always. The authentic French ambience truly makes you feel like you are in France rather than in Brick Lane. While the menu is not extensive, this is actually a positive point as it means that everything they offer is done extremely well. If you are looking for the best French food and atmosphere in London, you must visit Chez Elles. We apologize to the table next to us as we may have been a bit loud and excited during our visit.

Simple in this case is very, very good! I have eaten here twice in the past two weeks. It’s a refreshing option to all the Indian restaurants on Brick Lane. For my review I am using the word ‘simple’ in the most positive way. This is a small restaurant with a well thought out simple menu. Many classics: steak and frites; mussels and frites; and Onion soup. Service is quick and attentive but not rushed. The food is on point proper portions and on point. No Paul Bocuse complexity here. I will return like next week

What a gem of a restaurant this is! The authentic French food is out of this world, the French onion soup is the best I’ve ever had by far. The restaurant itself has a beautiful ambience and is very romantic and makes the perfect date night! I visited with my boyfriend and my mum though and it was a lovely setting regardless. The staff were lovely and Lili the owner especially was very welcoming! Thanks, very much looking forward to returning!

A hidden French gem tucked away among the bustling lights, curry joints, and vape shops. A delightful surprise. The French-speaking staff added to the immersive experience as we indulged in delicious steak, chips, red wine, and indulged in creme brulee. A top-notch meal - we will definitely be back to explore more of their adventurous menu... The cheese souffle looks particularly tempting. A job well done, thank you!

Found this cosy restaurant by chance and my wife and I both felt that it was genuinely French cooking; lovely staff, excellent food (especially recommend the Onion Soup), good and intimate atmosphere and very affordable. Nestling amongst the numerous Asian restaurants in Brick lane, a lively street in the evening we would have no hesitation on endorsing this delightful haven.

We had a great dinner in a beautiful and cozy atmosphere. It is a sweet restaurant and Angelique definitely made a real difference! Her smile, kindness, professionalism and attention to detail is a genuine asset to the place! Thank you so much everyone for making our evening so special! Merci encore Angélique et vive la France

Fabulous find on Brick Lane a lovely authentic French bistro. Busy so glad we booked in advance. Cheese soufflé was amazing. My husband enjoyed the sweetbreads and confit duck leg. The cheese course was fab. Lovely service within a cosy restaurant and French music playing in the background what's not to like.

The house red wine and onion soup were both excellent, but the mussels were disappointing. They were too small, with many of them being empty, and the white wine sauce was subpar. The service was good, but they did not handle my complaint well. It's a shame, as it's a nice little restaurant.
