What made an impression when we had our Christmas Dinner at Chez Gaston was not the food as much as it was the excellent service. The was very good, varied and fresh but nothing extraordinary. What was extraordinary was the staff!We went together with my brother, sister in law and their 7 months baby. As the Christmas dinner started only at 6 pm, the baby was already tired and wanted to sleep, the staff did everything to make her feel comfortable. They brought the baby chair, offered to warm up her food in the kitchen, and when she fell asleep on a little sofa in the back of the restaurant, they made a gesture that really delighted us: they decided to bring the little sofa to our table in or...
We stopped by the Eden Palace as it is a good few years since we last visited. As it was a gorgeous day we were very lucky to get a table on the terrace. Nice food - not superb just ordinary and sadly served without a smile. Everything would probably taste nicer if served with a smile.Very disappointed as we had made a special visit here.
We celebrated our wedding reception here on May 23, 1993. This restaurant is part of Eden Palace au Lac Hotel. We returned a few times last summer to see the venue again. The views are stunning. The food is very good and the lunch specials...are reasonably priced for the level of food, service, and location.
You need more than a bit of patience with the service not sure if they are understaffed it takes them quite a while to anything give you the menu, or take your order, or serve your wine, or serve your food. But...if you can overlook that, you will enjoy the food it is really nice

The food we ordered was too good. Great view of the lake. But the waiters are just lazy. We waited for the desert map 30 min, then they brought it and another 15 min no one came back. In the end, the kitchen closed and we couldn't get our desserts. I'd fire the whole crew.
We stumbled over this peaceful, beautiful restaurant along the Croisette, along the lake and sat at a table just a stone's throw from the lake. White tablecloths, excellent menu, somewhat expensive, but you pay for the view ambience. Food was great, service... excellent.
I don't know if that was better in the past, but the current menu has declared zero vegan options. The green two-leaf symbol shown in the menu image is only for vegetarians and their website never mentions vegan. Updated by previous rating on 2022-06-06
I was surprised because all meat dishes were so fantasies and creative, but vegan options are a typical rabbit food.... Pays a lot of money for a dish of semi-cooked vegetables.

OK but nothing special. Little ambience (maybe better in summer when opened up). Food perfectly adequate but bit standardised (disliked undercooked frozen french fries).
Had a magnificent view of Lake Geneva. Food was good as service. Absolut Club Sandwich with Pommes was great.
