Chez Tex - Réserver une table

I recently searched for a restaurant to host around fifteen friends for my birthday celebration. I reached out to Chez Tex via email and Jesse promptly replied, saying they were happy to accommodate us without requiring a minimum spend (which was exactly what I wanted, as some other places had high minimum spends or strange policies regarding payment methods). I requested to add a few friends to the guest list last minute, and they were very accommodating. On the night of the party, we were greeted with a beautifully set communal table with place settings for each guest. Despite keeping the wait staff busy with our orders, they were always polite and willing to provide recommendations on food and drinks. The wine selection was good, and the food was delicious. The laid-back atmosphere was perfect for socializing and conversation. They even helped us cut the birthday cake and provided excellent service throughout the night. They also gave me suggestions on other places to go for continued birthday celebrations. I look forward to returning to try the food that I ordered for the table, as well as exploring more of their wine selection. I am also excited for when they obtain their liquor license.

The food is not as well-prepared as it used to be. The menu is limited and many items were unavailable, leaving little to choose from. I used to love this restaurant when we first visited years ago, but it was not the same this time... and not in a positive way. The food was still decent, but not outstanding.

The ambiance is stark and minimalist, and it has a quiet, mellow vibeIt was a fantastic place for a group of 12 to go for an intimate birthday dinner.

This place is underrated Food was great and the old world wine menu is excellent for LA which tends to overstock on domestic wines.
