A simple restaurant on the road between Meze and Marsellian serving the most delicious seafood in the area and served by waitresses with always a smile on their face. Mussels and oysters fished in the waters nearby are prepared with the care and affection of a master. Six large oysters and a glass of wine or mussels with frites and a glass of wine at prices any pocket can afford. A refreshing sorbet with many flavours and a good mocca kaffe to end off the meal. Sitting outside you might have to wait for a table but it will be well worth the wait.
We were a party of seven and we were taken here by a local French friend, and from the moment we walked through the door we felt at home! It was busy and there was a real buzz about the place. I had 6 fresh oysters followed by oysters gratinee, which were wonderful. The mussels also looked and smelt amazing. We drank local wine which was very acceptable. If you like good fresh seafood you should try this place. The location is not central to Meze itself and does not have a sea view but it is still an excellent lunch spot without inflated prices!
A wide choice of fresh seafood, both living and cooked. Moules frites is a great way to fill up, but many other dishes including delightful tapas to share, moules farcies, huitres gratinees and an excellent but filling soupe de poissons. Eat inside when it's cold (or hot), eat out on the terrace in the summer, or buy from the shop to cook at home. Friendly helpful staff. Excellent Picpoul wine. Best to reserve during the busy summer season. No parking problems as it's right by the main road.
We have been here many times the seafood Moules and Oysters are by far the freshest the service is friendly wine is good do try the Ormarine Picboul de Pinet very good value for money, forgot to say do try the grilled oysters or moules in Roquefort cheese sauce. Will go back next week again for lunch.
