I don't recommend this place. I went with some family and friends and we were looking for a place to have coffee first and then have dinner afterward. The rude owner walked towards us without asking anything. So I went ahead to tell him our plans but just heard coffee and moved backward and with a rude gesture with his face pointed at the restaurant across the street! Such a brusque man! He didn't even let me finish my sentence when I was telling him that we were going to have dinner too. Hastily, he just walked back inside. Since then we have been in all of the restaurants on Bedford Street but that one. And I will never be nor recommend it.
Good morning. After reading all the reviews, I cannot fully understand the negative press that this place receives from some unfortunate guests. My friend and I came here for the second time to celebrate her birthday on 5-3, and we had a fantastic meal. The wobbly soup was delicious, the French meatcake was excellent, and the French brainspie was even better. The sauce that accompanied my girlfriend's dish was a bit too rich, but still tasty. We definitely want to come back to sit at the bar, have a laugh, enjoy a quiche and a bottle of wine, and savor more of their delicious food. Thank you very much. Bon appétit!
I went to this restaurant twice for lunch with Kathy and then for dinner with Tommy and Paula. Both meals were excellent; the escargot was perfectly cooked and deliciously garlicky, and the French onion soup was superb. We also tried the risotto, which we took home for Brian. The chef came out and advised us not to reheat it as it would lose its texture, so he made a cream sauce for us and instructed us on how to prepare it properly. The shepherds pie was also delicious. I will definitely be returning as the service was exceptional.
This was our first time here. The food was excellent, the service was informal but very attentive. The noise level was a little too high for me but it was full. Towards the end of the dinner it was less full and the noise level was more acceptable. I thought it was a great value. The wine list was not too large but well priced. We had one dessert for the two of us. It was also very good and was more than we could finish. Definitely returning. Réservez une table maintenant
in many French restaurants. that must be safe at the bottom of the list. so underwhelming eating, from the suppe to the main course. and overpriced in a presumed that I ended over 40 dollars for a 2 small chicken balls with little spinat on the side to pay. the service was also bad. very disappointed!
