While we were sitting and chatting after our meal, we mentioned how much my wife’s grandmother, Connie Walton, would have loved this place. As we continued our conversation, one of the staff members approached us to clear our baskets. We took the opportunity to share how much we enjoyed the Chicken Salad Chic with her. She was incredibly friendly, and to our surprise, her name was Connie, which felt like a sign since we had just been talking about my wife’s grandmother. To make it even more special, we learned that her middle name is Leigh, which is my wife’s middle name too! It was a wonderful coincidence. The chicken salad here is absolutely delicious, but there always seems to be a problem when I order through the app! I recently placed an order for drive-thru pickup, only to be told that I had to go inside to get my food. That just doesn't make any sense! If I wanted to go inside, I would have done so from the start. During my last few mobile orders, I've also had to pull aside and wait in a parking space after spending twenty minutes in line. It feels frustrating when you promote app ordering and rewards, yet the experience ends up being so inconvenient. The food is fantastic and the idea is wonderful, but if things don’t improve, you'll keep losing customers. Please do better!
This review is specifically about my experience today, August 17th. I have always loved Chicken Salad Chick, but unfortunately, this location has been declining for some time. The bathrooms are not clean, and there is an unpleasant smell coming from the carpet you walk on to get to them. The trash cans are so overflowing that I couldn't even find a place to throw away my trash. While the food is generally quite good, the service and cleanliness leave much to be desired.
