Chili's Grill Bar Restaurant

Stopped by because I was feeling like partaking in Taco Tuesday only to find out... there's NO MORE TACO TUESDAY?! I'm not sure if they discontinued it, or if this location never participated, but I wanted to leave then. After looking on their menu, the tacos I usually get at other locations weren't even on there? Is this a bootleg Chili's, or..? Per the sign on the door, I signed up for the email club to get the complementary chips and salsa (wasn't taken off the bill until I entered my email on the little tablet on the table that you use to pay). Gotta say I was really disappointed in my visit to this Chili 's. We were seated right away, which was about the only bright spot of the meal. My son wanted to order one of the specialty drinks on the kids menu, but was told they no longer sell the one he asked for, but he would still order the blue one if he wanted. About 10 minutes later, our waiter comes back and says they no longer sell any of those specialty drinks, so he would have to pick something else. My Dad and I shared the $20 meal for 2 and picked the fried cheese as our appetizer. Hey guess what? Turns out they don 't sell that anymore either! I brought my 2 daughters to Chili's North Wales on 5/16 about 8pm and could not get seated. We walked in and nobody was waiting in front of us. We waited close to 10 minutes when someone finally rushed by us and said they would be with us soon and had to clean a table for us. I'm not sure why they said that as it looked like there were plenty of empty clean tables. We waited almost 10 more minutes and saw the same person on a phone in the back of the restaurant near the bar. After feeing like we were completely ignored we left disgusted and went across the street to Smokey Bones and were seated right away. I don't think we'll be back, there are way too many great choices in the area that act...

Bottom Line: Chilis is so meh but the service here was awesome. People keep dragging me to Chili's and I could definitely go the rest of my life without having to eat at a Chili's again. The ambiance is fast-foodish with a side of cheesiness and the food is average and over-processed. But, I must say that the service at this Chili's this past weekend was great. We were immediately greeted in a friendly manner, the bar tender was willing to change the TV channel for us and our waitress was kind and attentive even though we only ordered chips and salsa and some drinks. At the end of the night we were able to walk back to our hotel room at the Courtyard next door so that was a plus.

This is a good Chili's location. It was recently remodeled and has a nice family atmosphere. The service is usually pretty good , what do you expect for 2 for $22.00? I like the lunch specials and several of the entrees are my go to meals.The fajitas are always great, the honey chipotle chicken crispers are delish. I stay away from the steaks and ribs. The steaks are most likely tenderized the ribs don't have any meat on them. Overall this location is great , have had many problems over the years but they always resolved them sufficiently. In Montgomeryville there are too many restaurants but if you craving chilis this is a good location.
