Chillato is not only a fantastic local shop with high-quality products, but it's also an excellent venue for birthday parties! We recently celebrated my daughter's 9th birthday there with 11 of her friends, and it was a wonderful experience. The staff was incredibly enthusiastic and knew exactly what to do at every moment. The girls had the chance to make their own gelato step by step and witnessed the entire process. They even got to dip and decorate mini cones to take home, and then they enjoyed the gelato they made with various toppings. The entire experience was unique, engaging, and a lot of fun. There aren't many ice cream shops to choose from in Northeast Queens, but this one is by far the best. It's a dedicated ice cream store with the finest Italian ice cream in the area. The staff is friendly and generous with samples. We opted for a large cup with three scoops, which came with a waffle cone inside. This time, we chose salted caramel, tiramisu, and Ferrero Rocher flavors. It's truly a gem and definitely worth the trip to Whitestone for this delicious ice cream. The ambiance for indoor seating is also really nice.
This place is fantastic! I visited to order a custom graduation cake for my son, and I specifically wanted a two-tier cake, which no other store was willing to make. Chillato accepted my order, and the flavors were incredible. The top layer was Ferrero Rocher/Tiramisu, while the bottom was Cookies and Cream/Chocolate. The owners (I'm sorry, I can't remember their names) were wonderful to work with and provided helpful suggestions regarding transportation and flavor options. I highly recommend this store!
As a first-time visitor, I noticed there was no ramp, so be cautious if you're bringing a stroller up the stairs. The venue appears to be a nice space for hosting children's parties. I ordered bubble teas, and while the strawberry one was vibrant red, it lacked flavor. There were limited options for frozen treats—only ice cream was available, and I was hoping for Italian ice. I'll definitely be trying other items on my next visit.

10 out of 5 stars. Finally , found the perfect gelato place for me. No sugar coma for you . Not overwhelming sweetness on their gelatos unlike other gelato places. Owner is creative and know how to think outside the box. They change their menus so you won't get bored. Some of my favorites: Lavender, earl gray, ube . They have seasonal drinks that were awesome too.
Nice little place. Many different flavors of gelato and some sorbet. My wife and son split a regular cup of black sesame and mint chocolate chip. It must have been good because they didn't leave me any. They normally leave me half of whatever they get.
Chillato is an amazing ice cream store. The ice cream is so creamy and there's a huge variety of choices. The ice-cream there tastes different from every other shop which is amazing. They have cake pops and cheap candy.
I visited this place in May and found the staff to be very friendly. The gelato shake was delicious!
