China Cafe 7 has been a staple on Riverdale Road for as long as I can remember. It’s not fancy, but the food is excellent, and the portions are generous—one order easily feeds two people. This time I visited, my favorite owner had retired, with other family members now running the place. I really miss the husband and wife team and wish them a happy retirement. Their business used to deliver to nearby homes and small hotels, and since COVID, they've remained takeout-only without reopening the dining area.
I visited this restaurant for the first time and it was absolutely fantastic! The customer service was excellent; the staff member who helped me was very patient with all my questions. The food was delicious and tasted really fresh. Plus, the portion sizes were generous! I will definitely be returning. I’m posting a picture now, but I apologize for how much I've already eaten—there’s still a lot left on my plate!
Absolutely the worst experience. I used to come here frequently for my usual order. This time, it was overloaded with onions and didn't have any egg at all. I paid an additional $2.50 for chicken fried rice, and the pieces were tiny. I ordered shrimp egg foo young and only found 5 shrimp in the entire meal, which cost me $16. Unbelievable!
The restaurant has changed quite a bit, from the new person taking orders to the new kitchen staff. Unfortunately, my food had an unusual smell when I started eating it. I won't be returning. They really need to consider bringing back the old team because the new staff just doesn't cut it.

I'm consistently delighted with the food options I've sampled from their menu. My top pick is the General Tso's chicken paired with vegetable fried rice. The service is also friendly; the owner, who takes and serves the orders, always remembers my daughter and me.

The food was even better than I had anticipated. The dining atmosphere isn't particularly inviting, and it's not the best location to wait for your meal, but it's my second favorite spot for delicious food.
Consistent. She knows your order. Been coming here for years. Egg foo shrimp and house fried rice large. Everything on menu good though when I want to switch it up.
