China Dove has been my local take away of choice for at least 2 years now, having tried several others in Gravesend. I order from here at least once a month. Because of that I’ve not looked it up on Trip Advisor for some time,...so I was truly shocked when I saw the recent run of negative reviews. They don’t reflect my experience at all. I’ve never had bad food, items missing, long delays for delivery or experienced rude and unhelpful staff. In the past I’ve had meals delivered within 20 minutes of ordering. Tonight, a Friday evening, it was about 45 minutes which is perfectly acceptable. If I choose to collect it’s usually ready in 10-15 minutes. The food has always been of a good standard...
Awful service, placed an online order waited an hour and then called to check that whether order was ready for delivery, I was told it was on its way after another 15 mins rang back only to be told the order hadn’t even been started...and it’ll be a further 2 1/2 hrs!!!! I asked why I wasn’t told when I called the first time and because COVID you have to expect to wait up to 3 hrs. You can’t blame Covid for poor service and to top it off I will not get a refund until the end of the evening as only the Chef can do that. .
very dissapointing, we ordered nr. 163, fried chicken with garlic and chili it turned out that 3 out of 5 pieces spoiled .yuck. smell redd meat. I called the restaurant that expresses my carelessness that he was cooked with his chef, a typical self-defense persona,... instead of saying it's sorry, but insisted that this was cooked directly by the frying cabinet. could be stored there for months? or maybe from the beginning it wasn't a fresh chicken! when it was held there. will not be ordered again.
ordered eating, came after an hour, opened the food and it was stinking and tasty. I called the restaurant and the guy was extremely rude and said that the cook checked the boar and huh and if we have any problems, we should never order from the...shop again. absolutely shocked at the worst customer service I experienced. I cannot imagine that this level of rudeness over spoiled food. I would urge the hygienic agency to look into this place. avoid them at all costs! Réservez une table maintenant
I ordered a takeaway meal this evening and although it arrived in time, I wish I hadn't bothered. The prawn toast was basically fried slices of a baguette. The spring rolls tasted of cleaning fluid and the rest was tasteless and of poor quality. I...also ordered egg fried rice but there no sign of any egg in it.... I ended up throwing most of it in the bin I wont be going back!!!!!!!!!!
very bad costume treatment. I was her costumer and just asked me freshly cooked. the type said we should buy a new tofu for her to make her dinner fresh? if they don't like our food, order another restaurant. I was shocked. I couldn't believe how rude he was after 10 years service. they only earn money. Even with smelly old sweet, old eating. disgusting. never order.
Not sure what has happened with China Dove as have previously used them for takeaways, and never had a problem. I recently ordered a takeaway on a Saturday and had to wait 2 1/2 half hours for my food to be delivered. Not sure i...will be using them again, if this is now what happens.
We complained about the quality of our food and we told basically to go and it is not their problem. We should have read all the reviews on this very poor Chinese restaurant. The food is disgustingly poor. Worst we have had too. Avoid at...all cost!!! Réservez une table maintenant
