I booked here for a special birthday meal, there were 24 of us. We all arrived between 7 7:15pm as arranged. The waiter was very stressed and impatient when taking orders. Starters came reasonably quickly and was very nice. Then the GREAT LONG WAIT...for mains! It was around 9:30pm by the time the first lot of mains came out of the kitchen (I had been to asked where food was several times to be told 10 minutes each time But not all parts of the mains were served some people got their curry but no rice and some got rice but no curry some of the missing foods were another 20 minutes. We arrived for a special 60th birthday surprise. All I can say is our party of 4 cost £130.00 with one round of drinks and its the worst money we have ever spent. The group was large, 34 in total, however, if you are unable...to manage that number then do not take the booking? The whole event was total chaos. We were advised by a staff member to just order off the set menu as this would be easier for the staff. The food arrived at totally different times, such as the main meal followed 10 minutes later by the rice? main meal was cold by the time the rice came. The food was just above average for what we did eat. In my opinion this once booming restaurant has lost its flare and taste for food...
We celebrated our golden Wedding Anniversary as a family party of 19 last night at China Red Poulton , we all had saver menu so we all got to try many of dishes on the menu .The food was excellent !,all dishes served up beautifully...and plentyful portions .The staff were wonderful(nothing too much trouble) which made it a lovely family outing. We would all like to say well done and thank you all at China Red !!!
have gone to china red as it opens in poulton and always enjoyed eating and service. went last night with friends and was very disappointed since the change of administration, the menu has changed, and unfortunately not for the better. some foods were lukewarm. and in cold bowls and quality was not on the usual standard. I'm sorry, I'm not going back to what a favorite place to eat.

Terrible customer service by one of the waiters that had to be rectified by the other lovely staff. Gristle in the lamb if that’s what it was but didn’t taste like lamb more like beef. Paid £60.00 and that was with good will as I...had to complain which to be honest I absolutely hate doing but was a Saturday night and didn’t look at trusty trip advisor before I booked.
I was looking forward to it because I thought it would have a good call. a busy evening they couldn't get ready with. cold teller, I had mushroom foo yung (mushroom omlette) some of us had to ask for measurables to cut our food. my partner branch was rock hard. £5 for 2 orange juices. overall not the quality laity and joy I expected. a shame!
We went for a birthday meal last night, having not been since it changed owners and we was very happy with everything, friendly staff, lovely fresh tasty food, the buffet was our choice and they even offered to box up what we had left over...to take home wouldn’t hesitate to return.
the rest of the table was quite happy with their eating, but I decided to mushroom foo yung that was watery and certainly not appetizing. I just wish I had photographed it. our local take cooks this dish like an omelette,...where other china red it simply mixed like a touch.

tried as eating in a restaurant, loaded dishes with loads of veg to make when bigger and barely flesh look. the prices were somewhat higher if something for a restaurant that dissapoints the portions without meat.
