This Chinese restaurant is mostly known for their home-made Dim-Sum, served mainly on Sunday around noon. One would think they'd also be good at other Cantonese cooking then, but those dishes are just average. Oddly, they also serve Beijing Duck (i.e. north-eastern cuisine), but that might be a compromise for the Swiss market, as most westerners don't know about the differences between the main Chinese cuisines anyway. we had very high expectations and they were surpassed. all the passages were excellent and you taste all that is still made yourself. it tastes like you're back in the holidays somewhere in China. especially the duck could not be better, even in hongkong. also small details like fresh ananas in the sweet sosse we noticed. Since opening some 12 years ago I am always returning to the best 'Chinese' restaurant on the European continent.Christin and her husband are running a retreat offering the finest quality of ingredients you can expect to prepare a wide range of authentic dishes from many Chinese provinces. Even a Beijing Duck is far beyond any expectations compared to restaurants based in London/UK.I am proud to have the Michelin Gourmet guide informed to visit this place which have awarded the owners consecutively for the past 10 years.Only 13 minutes from Zurich main station by train. Sunday afternoon in the lasy garden, at a fine white wine the freshly made special dim sum by meister chuen li, in addition the very friendly service of his spouse christ - an experience, a high pleasure. tonight we enjoyed another lickering, the cantonese, an eyewitness the presentation, this fresh one of the ducks and the crusty skin - a delicacies!Thank you and we always like to come back!
Unfortunately, there are only a few good Chinese restaurants in the German Swiss cuisine in contrast to the Japanese cuisine. zen is one of the best. the dim sum selection, especially recommended the fried meat, calf with goer and the special dishes on the hot iron plate. the zen is a bit hard to find in the pampas of adliswil - as the guide michelin would write: ça vaut le détour
We went there a couple of days ago to have the Beijing duck and I must say that I was positively surprised. It is probably the best you'll get around Zurich. Otherwise, the restaurant is ok, the surroundings are definitely not worth mentioning. But their...food is actually very good. Staff was very friendly, too. I'm looking forward to try their homemade Hong Kong style dim sums!
