I have been a loyal customer of China Wok my whole life. The first thing I wanted to do when I was back in town from Montreal (after moving away from Marshfield) was to satisfy my craving for Chinese food. Unfortunately, I don't know if the place has changed owners or something, but I am truly heartbroken over what has happened to China Wok. The food was absolutely disgusting. I've never left a beef teriyaki stick on the table before, and my dad did the same with the chicken wings. We even ended up throwing away the entire poo poo platter because each of us was disgusted by it. It was just really bad. The beef teriyaki was undercooked and covered in some strange clear slime, and the chicken...
I don't know why, but I was hesitant to try this place instead of the other local Asian places. I'm glad my fiance suggested this place though. We really liked what we got. I think they had the best teriyaki beef in the area and my super-picky-about-scallion-pancakes fiance really like their scallion pancakes (not too heavy). The chicken teriyaki was ok, I liked their chicken rice, and she thought the pork rice was ok. I thought the prices and serving sizes were comparable to their competition, so not sure what others are expecting. We didn't eat in, too cold to stay out, but we thought the place was clean. We will be coming back here again.
I've always appreciated the food at this restaurant, but I don't like being overcharged. Last Saturday, I ordered one of their ALL DAY Specials along with some other items, and I was surprised to find an extra $1 charge for ordering after 4 PM. While their Lunch Specials clearly state that there is a $1 additional charge after 4 PM, the ALL DAY Specials do not mention this and are priced higher than the Lunch Specials. I reached out through their website to express my concern but haven't received a response yet. It's not really about the dollar; it's more about the principle of the matter. Just a heads-up for others!
I’m not sure if the ownership has changed, but the quality of the food has certainly declined! During my last few orders, I ended up throwing away a significant amount. The chicken fingers had an unusual tang to them, and the chicken in the lo mein had a similar taste. The beef and broccoli was drenched in a gelatinous sauce that tasted horrible. The pork fried rice was overcooked and resembled a mushy pile. I had switched to this restaurant when the quality at Hong Kong dropped, but now I’ll have to find a new place again!

I visited China Wok three weeks ago when my girlfriend and I were really hungry. We both ordered dinner specials, but she discovered a large piece of steel wool in her fried rice. I called the restaurant to report it, and the staff member I spoke to responded with a casual “yeah,” showing little concern. After a long pause, she offered me a discount for my next visit as if that would make up for the unpleasant experience. I’ll pass—this was quite unsatisfactory.
We ordered food two weeks in advance for New Year's Eve. Upon arrival we found over 50 people in line ahead all also ordered. It was raining people are getting into fights in line and we waited over an hour then decided just to leave without her food. The next day I noticed they charge me for the food anyway that we never received and I demand a refund. Very disappointed.
I like to go with friends to this place with my warmest recommendations. I go to this restaurant often. This recommendation is always successful. The the food there is yummy and the stuff is generous and cooperative. always when we eat in this place we enjoy a lovely evening. I warmly recommend this restaurant.
I've had nothing but wonderful experiences at China Wok! The food is consistently fresh and tasty. The owner is incredibly kind and always goes out of her way to help. I dine here three times a week and plan to be a loyal customer for the long haul. Thank you so much!
