I love dumplings, so was keen to see what Chinaman's offered. Went approximately 845 on a Saturday night and it was very quiet. We were told that the kitchen was about to close, so we ordered and the food came out very quickly.We ordered 3 lots of various dumplings, fried wontons, duck pancake and salt and pepper prawns, which came to $75.For 3 people this was only just enough, and you would probably want to order another couple of dishes if you were hungry.Fried wontons were overcooked and had no flavour. Dumplings were nice. Duck Pancake was very nice (but small serving) and salt and pepper prawns were delicious. Wasn't much atmosphere as they were closing up, but we weren't rushed at all....
I have not gone to a Chinese restaurant for years, I am tired of the additives or the very average same old Chinese that inevitably gives me a stomach ache.This lovely little restaurant has the best dumplings and pancakes with great ambience and very friendly and helpful staff. You absolutely must book, it is the new treasure in Neutral Bay/Cremorne right on the border of the 2 villages. The food is so deliciously fresh and no rubbish is added. My stomach loved it all.
For decades Sydneysiders had been spoiled for choice in Chinese dining and then Thai and many other cuisines took over centre stage. This restaurant is a refreshing return to good interesting Chinese food , flavoursome, fresh and accompanied by good service ! great to have this in the area ! The dumplings were great and even stir fried veggies were delightful. Sadly the desserts were quite a let down, can't recommend either the fried ice cream or mango dessertt.
This is a simple but fantastic restaurant. Kenny the owner is a very successful restaurateur who has put together a great experience. The menu isn’t huge but deliberately so. My wife and I eat herealmost every week for a consistent and really pleasant experience. The décor is reminiscent of a SE Asian street lane way, even complete with the overhead bird cages. Don’t miss it.

We have been three times because we are really local. We have found that we have ran out of things we would like to try on the menu. The dumplings are good but there are only a few varieties. The wagu was good once but a miss the second time. It is a lovely setting inside and the staff are lovely.
Had dumplings here for the first time recently. The Shumai was one of best I've had in Sydney. Lovely individual flavours and textures as they don't mince/puree everything first! It is a little pricey compared to a 'cheap' dumpling place but Chinaman clearly uses good...More
A recent newcomer of only 2 weeks opposite Woolies, it offers a very enjoyable menu of dumplings, duck pancakes, salt and pepper, stir fries, i.e a bit of all the typical Chinese dishes we love. A very professional team in a pleasing atmosphere.
We had takeaway from there last night and loved it. Great dumplings, the duck fried rice was awesome too - the interior looks great too so will be back again to eat in. And they take Amex which is always a plus. Recommended!

Attentive wait staff. Unfortunately expensive for a local restaurant. Food is good and tasty but plates are small. Had to order a second time because we were still hungry! Very similar to the Cammeray one.
Never had dumplings before. But since eating here a few weeks ago I absolutely love them. The team is very friendly and it's a nice place to eat in. Thank you for a great evening.
