We've been to this restaurant a few times and we were never disappointed! It's close to the Swiss border, so very easy to reach from Switzerland. The portions are well sized and reasonably priced we never left hungry or broke : The atmosphere is...very cozy and peaceful. Although the place is always busy it's never crowded or loud. Check out the shared platters for or persons they are tasty and offer a variety of different dishes in one (beef, pork, duck etc and include starters and dessert.
I ate lunch here as part of a group. We chose a set menu, starting with spring rolls and continuing with a range of dishes with shrimps, chicken, duck, vegetables and rice, washed down with draught beer and rounded off with coffee. All of the...dishes were nicely cooked, the waitresses were friendly and efficient, and the price per person at just over Euro a real bargain. i'll be back with my wife very soon!
I have an afinity for China as I've lived many years in Asia. A typical challenge in Germany or Switzerland is to find an authentic Chinese restaurant with good food. I would recommend Peking' as a very good place with authentic ambience, very good food,...and an attentive service. One one of the best in the Basel area. Book a table in advance for Fri or Sat.
We tried the set-menu for person.There was a wonderful spicy soup,delicious spring rolls and just wonderful main meal-duck,beef,pork with unforgettable fried rice!after all there was a fruit salad. the price for this was euro. I have been visitng this place since we live here in Switzerland, we walk to Germany and eat for less money delicios Asian Food, I love that Peking Duck, but every Speciality tastes awsome.
We had the food after order and the quality was really good. We paid for including bottle of wine. Service was discret and efficient.
