I recently wrote a review about an authentic Chinese Restaurant in McQuarrie Street which was filled with satisfied Chinese diners. The restaurant is modern and minimalist in decore and produces lovely food.The Chinese Palace in Main Road Glenorchy is about 30 years old and is as neat and as clean as a whistle. The food we got was excellent and authentic Chinese but more reasonably priced than in the City. We have the Banquet for 2 and we are always impressed. This place is starting to show its age and could do with a refit and update so it is like going back in time.The food well the menu is extensive with a lot of dishes from different parts of China. The food was tasty and there was plenty on each plate. We both had a soup to start but they both tasted the same except one had won tons and the other had prawns so it would be fair to say they use the same base.the Sichuan beef was not as hot as I would have liked (spicy) but you could get some heat from it. My friend had the chicken with vegetables and he was happy with his meal.The special fried rice was very average.Cheap enough with two Tsing Tao beers and a total cost of $72.There are better...

Les gens qui sont toujours gentils avec moi et me servent à chaque fois avec un sourire, je ne vives pas loin d'eux, alors j'étais tellement tellement, alors j'ai été tellement tellement et je ne les me suis jamais plaint. De plus, la soupe gratuite que vous obtenez, c'est une très belle soupe libre à taguer
This was recommended to us as a very good Chinese eatery however the day we were there our meals were not a good sample of Chinese food my combination chow was mainly veggies very little beef pork or chicken no seafood at all and the special fried rice was lacking everything as well ,left a bad taste .

Très beau déjeuner délicieux pour moi et mon ami, nous avons commandé le déjeuner avec le déjeuner (entrée, principal et dessert ????), qui pour chaque personne de moins de 15 $. Le personnel était très gentil et convivial de voyager du Musée de Mona pour le déjeuner.

Simply the worst Chinese I have ever been served it was inedible. I would not recommend this place the meat was gross and could not be cut it was that fatty. Sauce had a foul taste and the rice tasted metallic.

Food was very good and up to the same standard as Chinese Restaurants in Brisbane. I do not agree with some of the other reviews.
