Chirnside Park Country Club Bistro

The last time we had a meal here, we liked it very much. This visit was quite disappointing, the meals were basically just not up to scratch. One of my friends had the Pumpkin Soup which was very watery, my other friend had Chicken Parma and it was very small and he said it was tasteless, however my husband thought that the Salmon was very good. My Chicken Schnitzel was tasty, but very greasy. The staff also seemed a bit flustered and not very helpful. I really hope that this was a one off, because everyone has bad days from time to time. We will give it another go at some stage, we are not going to let this experience put us off completely.

Positives - staff were super friendly and very attentive. Atmosphere nice. Fairy lights are beautiful. The food - for the price we expected something pretty nice. The chips were bland and terrible, the parma was tiny. Garlic bread insulting. The risotto was nicley presented but lacked taste. After I drizzled the balsamic vinegar we got with the cob roll on the risotto, it was actually really nice. Dessert .... just no. Overall it wasn't a shocka but the prices didn't reflect the quality at all.

We caught up with some friends at the Country Club Bistro. We live locally and have talked about going there to have a meal and we are very happy that we finally did. The food is what we would call typical pub meals, which is perfectly ok, something on the menu for everyone. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Great night. Happy atmosphere. Nice food. Able to use seniors card on a sar night. Good entertainment. Beatles cover band..Not so great in general cleanliness of carpets, toilets etc. needs a refurbish. Had an old ,stale oily smell about it, mainly in the entrance and polka machines areas. The Chirnside Park Country Club Bistro is a great old school club to visit. Plenty of atmosphere. The food is delicious and the prices are very reasonable. The club will be going through a rejuvenation in the coming year but it is well worth a visit to enjoy a well cooked meal and drink.

Unfortunately my entire family wanted chicken parmagiana. What we got was thin, fatty meat (not breast meat). It was basically inedible and we could not eat it. Not value for money and management didn't care less.

We came here as a spur of the moment thing and were pleasantly surprised the food was very good and we would certainly head back here at some point in the near future

Great meal - large servings. Had all the Brisbane relatives for a meal here the night before our son's wedding. Quality of food was great at good prices. Réservez une table maintenant

A really good night with Irish food, Irish Beer and Irish Music. Had a great night and we could still get $10 weeknight meals.

Good food , freindly staff and reasonable prices .The deck is a nice place to have a quiet drink on a summers evening.
