Aside from the novelty, there isn't really much to say about this place. I'm not sure the "ice cream" is really ice cream. I tried to find a list of ingredients for this soft "ice cream" but couldn't. It kind of leaves an oily coating on the roof of your mouth. Yes, the thick dipping coatings -- all made from real chocolate -- and the toppings are tasty. But the whole ooey gooey concept is way over the top and over-priced. Expect line ups until the novelty wears off. Also, because the cones are precariously tall, the concrete on the outside eating area is splattered with dark brown stains that reminded me of something other than chocolate toppings. First Ontario location for this small Quebec chain. Located in a very small strip mall just nearing construction completion with very limited parking. Great looking interior ambiance that has you first walking through a large assortment of chocolate products before you reach the ice cream counter. Soft serve ice cream available in cones and cups of assorted sizes. Plentiful choices of toppings to choose from and all are applied thickly to the ice cream. Limited inside and outside patio seating available. Ice cream nothing to rave about but the toppings are what this business is all about. Service is slow perhaps because it's still very new. Pricey but expected in this kind of gourmet chocola...
While this was intended as a "treat", it is now my summer project- objective to enjoy and try most of the incredibly innovative and delicious dipped flavor offerings. first tip they actually encourage you to sample. You will need to do this because the choices of which flavor to land on will be challenging...from peanut butter, to coffee, hazelnut, salted Carmel to name a few. The sizing too is quite generous a mini was good enough for us. We will be back and I will be working my way through the carousel of flavors! Yummy!!!!
I tried the dipped cone after a recommendation from a friend, and was not let down!I liked the soft-serve ice cream, and I don't think they are using cheap chocolate to dip the cones in! Once solidified, the chocolate shell had to be at least a 1/4" thick at it's thinnest!They are so rich and creamy, I don't think I could handle a cone larger than a 'small'!It's not cheap, but it's really good, and I didn't feel ripped off, so I'd definitely go back. The ice cream (soft serve) was ok but the dip that they have has a very strange elastic like texture to it?From the sweetness of the ice cream and the dip you choose, there is just too much; you will soon feel sick. I ordered a baby size portion and had a hard time getting through it all.Lastly, the cone size is just too small, you have to hold it with the tips of your fingers.Sorry favoris, think I will stick with DQ for soft serve dipped cones.
The smallest size (baby) is about 1 scoop. At $2.79 it's a bargain. The mini at $3.79 is about 2 scoops which is more than enough for 1 person. Too many flavours to list. I had maple ice cream with milk chocolate. The chocolate is soooo thick. It's like an ice cream cone wrapped with a chocolate bar. It is so amazingly delicious I can't even put it in words. YUMMY!!!
Delicious! Mini was a great size to start with. We loved the ice cream...vanilla, vanilla orange swirl, chocolate and the dips, were delicious! Would definitely be back for this delicious treat. May ask for a cup vs a cone because the ice cream melts quickly. Too bad it was raining...Would have loved to enjoy the treat on the patio instead of the packed restaurant.
We were there for dessert after dinner. We were very impressed with how many selections of dipping sauce they have. The cones were quite large in size . We ordered two small cone for the kids and shared one medium cone with two adults. We all couldn't finish them. We didn't like the vanilla ice cream in the cone, we found they were very oily and no flavor. Réservez une table maintenant
We have gone twice and both times had very good service and excellent ice cream. Lots of selection and great flavours. I had the small the first time and thought it was too big for me so the next time I went I had the mini and it was just right!. My guest from out of town thought it was excellent. Definitely a nice treat.
