We ate at Chop Shop, Casual Urban Eatery on South Broadway for lunch over the weekend. Chop Shop is one of Denver's premier chef driven fast casual/quick serve restaurants and has three locations South Broadway, East Colfax and Quebec St.We arrived at Chop Shop South Broadway, ordered our food and sat at a booth in the main dining room. The aesthetic of the restaurant was lively fun with a vibrant Chop Shop mural on the wall a huge patio. Clint Wangsnes, Owner and Executive Chef at Chop Shop gave us stellar recommendations and ensured our meal ran smoothly. The food was quite basic. I decided to give it a shot and ordered their signature dish, the 48-hour short rib. Unfortunately, the onion rings had more flavor than the meat itself. The mashed potatoes were bland and lacked salt. While the brine was decent, I don't think it was worth the $24 price tag, especially since the portion of meat was quite small. This felt like something more suited for a YouTube audience, as it had no seasoning. I really wanted to enjoy this meal, but I left feeling very disappointed. I absolutely love the one on Colfax! I visit frequently. I recently tried the vegetarian special, the beet ravioli, and it was heavenly—please keep it on the menu! The only suggestion I have is to offer a bigger portion size. My friend and I both ordered it and found we needed something more. However, the amazing staff brought us complimentary chips afterward, which was a nice touch. The service is fantastic. By the way, I really miss the original salmon on fried rice dish!

I discovered this gem on Colfax and was absolutely amazed! I ordered the short ribs and the banana crème brûlée, while my wife had the salmon. Everything was incredibly delicious! It’s probably the best meal I've had in a long time. The atmosphere is really cool, and the staff is very friendly—definitely worth going out of my way for. We enjoyed our lunch so much that we even decided to order dinner to go! Réservez une table maintenant

Rolled back into town and stopped by what was one of my favorite neighborhood eateries and was disappointed this time. The chicken sandwich was on the dry side, not as flavorful as I remember. Fries were good but not hot on arrival. And I know food prices have gone up, but $25 with tip is a bit much.

Veggie fried rice with tofu was very flavorful even better with soy sauce! Parmesan fries were a bit bland but better with salt! Chewy marshmallow bar is the best rice bar I ever had! Restaurant was clean and smelled good! I like my eggs fried hard please give that option next time!

The food was great! I had a burger and it was yummy! The sauce on the burger was a great touch. I got fries withe the cheese and herbs, it was bomb! The bathroom was super clean. And the staff was very friendly. I strongly recommend this restaurant. ?

First time coming here, walk up and order. We ordered our food and weren’t sure what to expect. The food that came out was high end restaurant quality. The flavors were unexpected, but great! We will definitely be coming back! Réservez une table maintenant
