Having sampled a few other so called British Fish & Chip shops its nice to go back to the original & best, which Chumleys are by a country mile.They are always perfectly cooked with consistent terrific taste, exactly like chip shop food should be. I would have said they're just like the real things from back in the UK, but the demise of the traditional chippy back there, where many are now in the hands of foreign owners, puts them head and shoulders above the majority of their UK counterparts. If you enjoy your fish & chips how you remember from your childhood, then this place is a must.

Just arrived back from a cruise where the chips on board are mainly french fries and whilst in Brisbane for the day, my daughter took me for some' real fish and chips'. As I originally came from the UK 55 years ago, she wanted to get my opinion. I have to say the food was as close as you would probably get to English fish and chips. Everything was cooked fresh while you wait and brown vinigar and salt where there to use. Another added surprise was the English beer for sale provided you drank in there. A most enjoyable meal and a nostalgia trip for me.

This is my favourite chip shop in Brisbane I travel from close to Bracken Ridge to Birkdale to enjoy their delicious British Fish and Chips.

The fish at Chumley Warners is direct from the North Atlantic - filleted and frozen immediately and exported over to Australia.
