Last Saturday we celebrated our anniversary with the Ronquio tasting menu and it was a wonderful experience. The food is delicious, a world of flavors and discoveries from the moment we entered the restaurant and immersed ourselves in the gastronomy of Jaén. In addition, the attention of the team is 10 and the service is great. We feel at home. By the way, the beer and wine pairing is highly recommended, it was a surprise to discover the beer cream liqueur. We are looking forward to going back soon and trying new dishes and flavors. Disappointment. We went because of the good ratings and comments. The general service and attention was very good. We chose the tasting menu and the beer and wine pairing. The dishes, except for two or three that I liked, fell short of my expectations. I do not recommend the pairing of drinks at all, you share the craft beers and you barely have enough to drink, to the point that we had to ask for a bottle of water because we were thirsty and they did not hesitate to charge it after paying about €30 for the pairing, yes I don't remember wrong. That seemed pretty cheap to me for the price you pay. In short, for value for money I would not return there.
We came here with our vegetarian friend, because we wanted to go somewhere special with her. (It is extremely difficult in Jaén province to find decent vegetarian food. This little restaurant was willing and able to provide us with this. The food was delicious, well presented, the people were really friendly, the downstairs cave is cool and beautiful, and we definitely will return to try the other non-vegetarian dishes! Many thanks.
Spectacular restaurant, with an innovative proposal that at the same time embraces the tradition of the province of Jaén. Restaurant in Úbeda, with a great tasting menu. Each pass is a delicacy and each dish is perfectly explained by its staff. We ate in the lower part, which is a cave, it is small but beautiful and well worth it.
