I have been going to Claremont Cafe since I was five years old. I have fond memories of their breaded and fried pork chop and steak sandwiches, as well as the roast pork with lettuce and tomato. However, the ultimate favorite is their cheeseburger with slaw, chili, and onions. These dishes were delicious in 1956 and still are today in 2019. My family has been making the trip from Statesville for 63 years, and now that I am retired, we will continue to visit every week. I have seen three generations of family members at the cafe, and I hope everyone enjoys their visit as much as I have over the years.
