We’ve been frequenting this restaurant for quite some time, even hosting our company party here, and it has consistently been a delightful experience. However, our visit this evening felt like a significant decline in quality. My husband ordered the $75 steak special, which was decent, but the potato bread pudding side was completely inedible — a sentiment echoed by our entire group. None of us found that dish justifiable at that price. I opted for the gnocchi, which also missed the mark. On a positive note, the salad starters and oysters were excellent. we expected a lot about the outside seats by seeing in pictures. but it is totally opposite and very simple outside and not as great as on photos. in restaurant the ambiente is good. Eating tastes good, but very expensive for the amount of food we receive. we received much less quantities for the price we paid. there was no coordination between the waiters. we really felt complicate when the waiters come for one and ask for the same and ask for our order. we have already placed it with one person, then comes another person and ask for order. it has repeated all the time when we were there and we were really frustrated. Of you love savory food combinations this place is for you. Everything from the cocktails through to the deserts had rich dense flavors. The soup was the best of all the options ordered! If you want to experience the fix price menu be sure you check it is offered on the day you go. As we checked in for a surprise special birthday dinner, I was informed there was no fixed price multi-course option that evening. I was SO disappointed because I chose the establishment for that very option. So check the daily menu to be certain it is available on your chosen night!!.
everything was so delicious, especially the brot. we loved the brot so much that our waiter sent us to the house with a bag full of. cocktails were so delicious. we had the chilled maize soup and salat bark shells for starters; so unique. the Australian bark pliers was a little cheerful and playful when we expected but still pleasant. I loved the soft bowl crab shell. dessert was a little weak; the blue berry cake was so good, but the brombeer cream brûlée left more to wish. the service was impeccable. Pleasantly surprised based on the exterior strip mall appearance. There was a patio section and a large indoor area with several semi-private and private sections. We sat off the kitchen in a private room which was perfect for our group of 8. Dedicated staff attended to all of our wants and needs. That said the food was salty, for our tastes, but everything else was great and the bread was delicious.
we enjoy clarity and look at it now our 'bring visitors here' hot spot. Eating is delicious and we love the oysters! if you really want to see a weekday happy hour, so we can visit more often with a little less imaginative. the other large area for improvement is the terrace. the ambiente is not there; there is no music or scene; unfortunately it feels like it is. eat on a parking lot.
The food was outstanding: we enjoyed smoked salmon, lobster (which was prepared perfectly), and duck served in three different styles (four if you count the chef's complimentary dish). Everything was delicious, fresh, and satisfying. We plan to return several times in the future! The customer service from everyone was top-notch, and we're thrilled to have found a new local gem.
