I will never go to this establishment again. I have a licensed service animal and tried to go there for a snack planning to sit in the bar area and was treated so very disrespectful by staff member Adam. I have been traveling all day and was very tired. I was just waiting to put in my order when he approached me and started asking questions about the service animal and his service. A bit thrown off guard as I’d have never experienced quite the rudeness, I apparently did not answer his question to his liking. Set up reservations with a large group. Finally got seated 40 minutes after our scheduled time. After looking at the menu for quite a while. The waiter came just to take drink orders. That took some time to arrive. Now finally we were able to place our orders. The place still has the rustic outdoor ambience. Crack you peanuts and throw the shells on the floor. The place is very dimly lit. At times it's hardtop see the menu check. Not to mention the food on your plate. We had a steak (medium), potato rice arrive cold. By throwing it back on the grill. It was now well and dry. Another serving was brought that no one ordered. The server tried to insist you did order this. The person said I did...
Eerie and horribly upsetting. Atmosphere was unwelcoming from the start as we had to wait for our full party to arrive in order to be sat despite the majority of my party already being in attendance. Once we were sat, before even having a chance to look at the menu, we were greeted by Trevor who rudely told us our service animal was unwelcome and needed to be “taken outside” which was not only ridiculous as it is no less than 95° outside but also the patio was closed which is inconsiderate for those with service animals to enjoy the establishment. The attitude we received was unacceptable and ruined my daughter’s special day as she walked out in tears.
I have been a patron of the North Woods Inn of Covina since the late 80s when I was in Jr. High. I went here with my parents, and now I bring my wife and my boys. It's a long family tradition to come here! We are so grateful for the North Woods Inn and have an incredible time for every visit. This visit was especially great! The service was wonderful, the food was as incredible as ever, and the atmosphere was great! Thank you North Woods Inn for being there and excellent service!

Short wait on New Year's Day Holiday but available seating at the bar with complimentary peanuts and a tasty selection on the cocktail menu. The Spiked Shirley is delish. Christmas decor still up and makes this New Year tradition one to keep! Halibut Lunch Special includes 2 slices of cheese bread, green and Cabbage salad, rice, pickle, and halibut. Service was friendly and prompt.
This is my favorite steakhouse! Their steaks are delicious. I like mine well done. They have the best cheese bread I?ve ever tasted! I definitely recommend this place. Great atmosphere for a celebration. People can dress causal but the food is expensive. Their large servings of food and good food quality is well worth the price!
This was a must stop for us during our visit as we had missed eating at North Woods since leaving So Cal and as always everything was great the steak was perfect the salads (especially the red cabbage) were great we have enjoyed coming here for over 50 years. Thank you
If it weren't for my parents, I would've never known this Big Bear Cabin Restaurant existed. The cheese bread was out of this world! I honestly can't wait to go back again.

Picked up bread a tub of spread and a large house salad dressing for a bbq we all couldn't go so i took North Woods to them love it
It has been a couple of years since our last visit, but the food and service are still excellent.
