To start, Cliffs has always been a personal favorite. Perfect little jazz location with a “home” feel and great music and food. I’m not sure if they’ve changed management but New Year’s Eve was definitely a disappointing experience. Coming in with a steep $300 price tag per couple for a 4 course meal, we certainly expected better. Upon arriving at 8:30 we waited 15 minutes just to get water. Our first dish took almost an hour to get and we finally received our main course at 10:50 pm after flagging down a worker we hadn’t received our meal. There was NO ORGANIZATION and we didn’t have a set server. This is pretty disappointing when you spend $300 for what’s supposed to be a “top notch” New Y...

We unfortunately had a bad night here at Cliff Bells. Let me start with the positives. The gentleman who sat us was friendly and funny. He sat us at what he considered the best table for the performance. The venue itself was gorgeous. There is a massive bar and a lot of seating. The band was good, especially the trumpet player from Canada. Now the cons. The food was OK. Nothing to write home about. The show started 45 minutes late. Our waitress forgot about us. We had to ask another waitress multiple times for drinks, to clear the table, water, and the check. Our waitress disappeared for the majority of the show. It was very unfortunate as we were looking forward to enjoy dinner and a show.

The ambience is like no other...the food and drinks are reasonably priced and delicious, the service is first class, and the entertainment is A1! I've seen various jazz groups perform and they ALL deliver a spectacular performance! As a Detroit native I suggest that everyone experience the legendary Cliff Bells for an unforgettable night of enjoyment and fun!

another great evening here. read the layers and look at the history of this place and the responsible one. the bar employees mix like art and serve with a smile and a great story. music and artists are like no other. to sit, relax, enjoy a drink and watch how their artistry live in front of them is simply the best when in detroit, time to visit cliff Bell’s. this place is amazing. great atmosphere, phenomenal eating and even better drinks. the live jazz performance was so good that we stayed for two sets and it was not disappointed. I wish I could give them more stars!

Always such a good atmosphere and vibe. Jazz is always swinging. Food is great just a limited menu. Would love to see a rotating menu but then what they do they do well. Staff is triple A.

Ambiance atmosphere They accommodated a last minute change during jazz festival. Loved our server, Jeanetta she was a delight, and the beef short ribs are divine.

the eating was delicious, the atmosphere was relaxing and fun, our server tony was great and the music was phenomenal! did not listen to blues/ jazz music so long! Réservez une table maintenant

old speak easily made into a new ageable feeling with old world. try the Majin-Bu or belle’s blossom. eating is spectacular.
