I recently had another fantastic meal at this restaurant. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was friendly. It's surprising that I only discovered this place in January, especially since it's located so close to my brother's house and only a 6-mile drive for us. Our first visit was for the carvery, which was amazing. The selection of meats and freshly cooked vegetables was outstanding. On our most recent visit, we tried the Pork Belly and Jalfrezi Curry, both of which were excellent. We've already booked a table for April. The prices are very reasonable, especially considering the current cost of dining out. Overall, it's great value for money.
Expected alot from this place, due to reviews but sadly did not live up to it. Far too much choice on menu, to give the detailed qualiry, definitely quantity rather than quality. The so called specials don 't change. The beef stroganoff was a cut up steak, doused in cream with mustard added at the end, it wasn 't infused into the sauce, expected something 'special ' for £23. .... Nice pleasant staff but certainly not a gastronomic experience sadly
My son-in-law booked a 18th birthday (my oldest grandson) dinner for 10 people at this fabulous place. The food was fantastic, the staff where all very friendly and professionally nothing was to much trouble. The food all came out together piping hot and very tasty portions sizes great idefinitely value for money, loads off food choices including the children's menu would recommend this venue to all my friends and family
Our second visit after a SW coast path walk from Bovisand Beach. The pub is very welcoming and the food is real home cooking. It is real value for money and a nice cosy atmosphere. Great gluten free/coeliac options. Even my coffee came with a gf treat instead of the usual biscuit. Place mats, comfy chair and no Farrow and Ball in sight! The desserts are highly recommended.

Despite the slightly inconvenient parking situation (just walk from nearby, it's worth it), Clovelly is an excellent choice for dining. The interior boasts an old, tired decor that has remained unchanged for quite some time, but it is reliable and clean. The service is top-notch and the food never fails to impress. The portions are huge and the quality is top-notch.
This is a lovely pub for a family meal we had the best food and couldn't have asked for a nicer kids meal with all freshly prepared food! Staff are lovely and welcoming and we have yet to have tasted food better anywhere else definitely the best pub with everything you could need or want ! Thankyou for a pleasant evening
Only been in Plymouth three years and had not used this inn before. Booked for Saturday evening on the 23rd April. I can only say the food was excellent with a lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. Will be going again.
The restaurant is incredible, but don't just take my word for it as it can be difficult to secure a reservation and I personally visit frequently.

Went here with our dog. Very friendly. Like pubs used to be. Service was excellent. The Sunday roast was very good. Will be revisiting.
I had a lovely English breakfast Which I found to be very nice Good service and a lovely polite waitress Could have been little warmer
