Cloves has a reasonably small menu, but the variety was good and everything we had was mouth watering. One of the best curry/sub continent( meals I have had in a long while, so much more enjoyable than the standard Indian restaurant fare that you get...just about everywhere. Somewhat strangely there are handmade chocolates, Tiramisu, and Black Forest gateau for dessert, but these were also very good (ask them the back story for this). This is a small family run place and while the decor is nothing special it's new and clean, and totally made up for by the friendly, attentive and informative service and the fantastic food. We re going back ASAP.
We were group of more than people including kids, all of us asians (SL/IND/PAK) was having a cricket tour in brisbane All were fed up of having continental type food and craving for aisn flavor Our tour coordinator Mr.Harsh came up with idea to...visit this restaurant for change I should appreciate the family who is running the place the way they treated us was amazing Wonderfully spreaded buffet with full of sri lankan food with great taste. Kids and adults enjoyed the food and the atmosphere at the most. BEST PLACE TO HAVE SRI LANKAN AUTHENTIC FOOD THANK YOU VERY MUCH For sure place to visit many times
this little restaurant is great and the owner is really friendly, but I think they need to order a few dishes with meat and vegetables between a group and share to really taste the aromes. a kotu roti (sri lanken shredded roti brot shaking with meat and vegetables) is not on the menu and is not always available, but if they ask it quite often, it is a good alternative to naan brot and is super tasty. Maybe if we ask for it, the menu will be added permanently:
On a night when many restaurants were closed, we stumbled upon this small restaurant and were pleasantly surprised. The owner was very friendly and passionate about food, explaining the menu in detail. We tried various curries, pork, shrimp, and chicken, and thoroughly enjoyed each dish. While it may not be the ideal spot for a romantic evening, it is perfect for high-quality, delicious food in a welcoming environment. We can't wait to return. Réservez une table maintenant
This cozy restaurant in Cleveland may have simple decor, but the food is excellent. Trying out the variety of curries over multiple visits has been consistently satisfying. It truly feels like a taste of Sri Lanka. The owner is very welcoming and his wife cooks in a traditional style. If you love curry, this is a must-visit spot and the best part is that it offers great value for the money. They also allow you to bring your own alcohol.
we came to the first visit on Valentine's Day. the kitten had a menu for the evening. the food was very delicious and spicy. I am very interested in tasting the menu. Apparently being run by a family with the vater as a...house will be very polite and friendly service. they bring cash as there is no EFT facility. it is worth keeping the place at a cash machine.
Small menu but what they do they do well. The curries looked like small servings but were filling enough when rice was added and very tasty. Unfortunately no desserts available on the night we were there. BYO available. Cost for curries, rice and corkage...was Will go again.
