The La Canada location closed for COVID [as most every other gym]. They constantly keep taking my account off of suspense and charge me for membership. I have to call back repeatedly to say, Until COVID ends, please keep my membership on hold. I am not interested in virtual classes at home on my floor or working out in the parking lot . Finally, they offered me a cancellation. I agreed. The manager told me she would waive the cancellation fee because of all the confusion and trouble. Just sign the cancellation form she said. Despicable and horrific billing practices. Once they get a hold of your credit card, they will bill you and good luck getting them to stop. I placed my account on hold during covid closure and they continued billing, I had to spend hours disputing each time. In May 2021, I decided to give them a try again, HUGE mistake. I had to place my account on hold for 3 months in January 2022, and they billed me after one month, I disputed the charge and they sent me to collections. I paid the $229.00 to get them off my back and now another collection company is calling me asking for more money. I have to say I'm really surprised by the negative reviews. This is a woman owned business and this happened during the heart of the pandemic. I would hope people would be more understanding. I cannot say enough good things about Club Pilates. I actually tried two other studios before deciding on Club Pilates and it was by far the best. This establishment is ripping off its members. They charged me over 200 of cancellation fees even though I had a membership for unlimited classes. The cost is 240 for unlimited classes. They still charge 10 for cancellation. They have a policy if you cancel after the 12-hour mark, they charge even though you already paid for that class. They say if you call and cancel, they won't charge you, but they will charge you if you do it on the app. Their classes are always full, so you have to sign up a week before to get a spot, so you can't get the classes on the spot to not be charged for cancellation. Do not sign up with the La Canada location. This club won't let you get out of your contract, even if you cancel the membership. They place un-authorized charges on your account even while the studio is closed due to COVID-19, and after you've explained to them why you cannot work out during quarantine. They charge you an unreasonable fee to freeze your account, while the studio is closed, while you cannot access the classes. Most unprofessional business ever.The studio in Echo Park is much better. Better instructors and overall customer experience. I attended classes there for three years before switching to be closer to home. HUGE regrets!
I find the negative ratings really disappointing! This place is incredible and has truly transformed my life! The instructors are all fantastic, and it's a women-owned business! My favorite instructors are Davida, Valerie, Alison, and AJ! While Pilates can be pricey, the monthly membership makes it much more manageable. I've seen complaints about billing issues, but they always work with you to resolve them, and I can imagine it’s challenging with so many last-minute cancellations. Thank you, Club Pilates La Cañada, for providing ample parking, outstanding classes, and helping me achieve my strong, confident body!
The pilates workouts here are exceptional. Their billing practices can be a bit confusing, but once I addressed my concerns about the schedule and missed classes, they were very accommodating. They adjusted my billing to the beginning of the month, making it easier for me to keep track of my four classes per month. This was more of my issue than theirs. Overall, I've enjoyed all my sessions and have found them quite effective.
Very unprofessional management team (instructors NOT included). The company cancellation policy published online directly contradicts what members inevitably sign. Brought this up to the general manager and--shockingly--got ignored. Contractual terms must be in alignment with one another; otherwise, the contract is unenforceable.

This place has policies that always go in favor of the company and they don't respect the classes that you pay and you couldn't take it. Careful with that. The place is clean and the best teacher is Valerie.
