Cochon Volant Bbq - Réserver une table

Decided to give this place a shot because the reviews seemed good but the bbq didn't have enough flavor. I was visiting so I asked if he could recommend anything and he straight out said no, lol ok... this is your spot and you can't recommend anything...? Rude! I was in the mood for good bbq too but this was not the place even though Guy Fieri checked this place out. To make this visit worse, the owner, was grumpy and didn't seem like he liked his position anymore sadly. Mood killer for sure!

I smelled the BBQ a few blocks away. My mouth was watering. Saw the place on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. I was starving. Got the beef brisket sandwich, smokey beans and some cornbread. The brisket is kept in a warmer. The meat was lukewarm. The brisket was tasty, but nothing special. Beans were way too smokey and no meat in them (got to have some meat! Blecch. The cornbread was dry. One and done. Disappointed. At least it was cheap.

Went on a Sunday around noon, not busy at all. Food was not bad, but not great. I ordered the BBQ combo and my daughter ordered the catfish sandwich, we also had mac n cheese bites. The catfish was the best thing on the table, BBQ was mediocre. Staff was okay, young lady very friendly and helpful and one older gentleman that was kind of grumpy and seemed like he didn't want to be there.

This was near where we were staying and decided to come grab lunch before heading to our winery reservation. I got the brisket sandwich with their fries. Sandwich was filled up with brisket. I liked the fries, it was a bit spicy, so beware if you're sensitive to heat. Fries were a bit spic
