What a treat! Besides wonderful food I got to learn some history about the area and how immigrants from Gubio Italy settled in the area and brought their recipes and traditions with them. The pizza is old forge style. The soup was rich, homemade and worth driving through a snowstorm to get. The meatballs and gnocchi are both homemade and delicious. They don't have any sausage in the meatballs. The sauce. What can I say other than it was delicious and exactly how a red sauce should taste IMHO. And that bread! Can't forget that crusty chewy delicious bread. Lovely and priced right.
We had a surprise birthday party for my sister-in-law, the people at Colarusso were friendly enough to open up early for us to get our food, I can't tell you what was better, but the food was excellent the service was excellent and they have a new customer in the USA
The food was delicious and the service was great. The restaurant was very clean, which I appreciated. I enjoy dining at family-owned restaurants because they are dedicated to providing excellent service.
We absolutely adore the food at this restaurant. We have been coming here for many years, even back when my children were young. My all-time favorite is the sausage pizza!
