This was my first visit to Colonia Brauhaus but judging on our first visit it certainly won't be my last. This is a superb brewpub,it has a great interior,pine tables and chairs,great decor and furnishings in a light and airy brewpub,the staff here are super friendly and made my twin brother Stephen and I so welcomed in their brewpub. They offer a great German meal menu and great Kölsch beer. We visited our son who lives in Koeln, one Sunday in September, so we decided to have a late lunch together. This restaurant is situated on the side of the Rhein so we sat at a table with a pleasant view and decided to have the 3 course meal of the day so that we did not have to wait for a special order to be prepared. It was all very tasty, served promptly, and satisfied our hunger. However, 2 less helpful points..... my wife is not keen on bottled water so asked (in German) for a glass of tap water. The request was refused and was told to choose a drink from the menu listing. we finished off our meal with acceptable coffee at 2.30€ per cup but when we went to pay the total Rechnung, were t...

As we were looking during our stay in Cologne for a authentic German Brauhaus, we were suggested this in our hotel. The conclusions: excellent food, very friendly and competent service, cozy atmosphere with a beautiful view of the Rhine! Worth a visit......

I visited the Colonia Brauhaus with my family last week. We were very happy! My paprika steak with pommes and salad was very tasty, even the rest of the family tasted good, the food came fast, nice operation. Overall highly recommended.
