We visited yesterday and were greatly disappointed.Firstly, the portions of the toppings were very small.I got a Sundae which didn't come with whipped cream, (who doesn't put whipped cream on a Sundae? I asked if I could have whipped cream on it and the girl says yes for an extra charge which I said fine to and she gave me a tiny bit of whipped cream. I also found the flavor of the custard very underwhelming.I got chocolate and it barely tasted like chocolate.Finally we realized after we left that we were overcharged for what we ordered. Unfortunately we are staying 25 minutes away and we're very tired so didn't want to turn around to go back.
This place. OH this place. Comet is incredible. I just moved out to the area, and saw it as I'd pass by, and wanted to try it. I immediately loved the aesthetic. My first time, I ordered a triple chocolate concrete, and good God. This frozen custard is excellent. However, I think more than anything else, I love that the whole staff is really friendly and polite. It makes for an awesome dessert, or snack, or literally any excuse my wife and I can find to bring our friends and family there. And all of them are IMMEDIATELY hooked once they try it. Cannot recommend this place enough.
My family and I were there yesterday and after speaking, we agreed the custard was fair. We have had way better custard with better portions of toppings for the price. After telling everyone that it cost 36 dollars my family was astonished. We calculated what everyone ordered, and we are no where near that total. We believe that the young lady ringing us up must have miscalculated.
I used to drive to Kopps in Milwaukee, Wisconsin because Culver's just doesn't cut it. Why drive to the stainless steel 20 cash register Kopps? Well they have Sprechers root beer!Comet is the local answer. Local traditional kind of a dessert diner...all the soda shake sundae concrete ! classics. Top quality mix...real drive in diner atmosphere...five stars without hesitation.

The custard is OK. Definitely frozen custard. Many places claim to sell frozen custard while selling soft serve ice cream. I was pleased that this was actual frozen custard. For the quality, it is similar to Culver's. So if you have one Culver's in your hood, you do not need to come out of your way here. It can not be compared to Kopp's at all.
Really good frozen custard! I got the cookie dough caramel concrete. Loved the cookie dough and the flavor of the custard. The concrete portions are pretty generous. Can’t wait to go back and try more flavors.
Great hometown feeling at Comet. They care for their customers and serve the very best custard. A little pricey but everything is these days.
Growing up this was a gas station and now the owners have converted to a summer hangout! Good custard and good service! Gotta give it a try.
