I don't know what they put in that pizza but it's just awesome. I go there every day after work for a buffalo chicken slice(it's kind of a ritual for me), and it hits the spot every time. I tried asking if they were on uber eats but it seems they haven't taken that step yet. Then the manager told me it's because they do their own deliveries and I figured out why their pizzas are just a little pricey(see picture). It's free delivery!!! Of course they have to charge more they need to pay the delivery guy. Kudos for being one of the only few businesses with that kind of fair practice. Good evening. I must say I was very impressed with the customer service experience here. When I walked in I was immediately greeted and felt a very warm welcome into their establishment my Mira. Please forgive me if I have misspelled your name. The owner of the establishment was engaging and very kind. I am from out of town, and I was seeking a nice Italian dinner, and that is what brought me to the restaurant. I’m definitely coming back here every time I come into town. Although this is my first time there, I’m actually at my second home with my family. This visit, unfortunately is a sad one, but after going into your establishment, my spirits were lifted. Needless to say the service and quality has changed with the new ownership. The pizza is not bad but definitely not like the original Comet’s pizza. Also, the ONLY time service is good there is when the gentleman owner is there; because every time I’ve called or gone and he’s not there the woman is so rude. Called to ask for 2 slices to go pick up within a few minutes (like 5) for my work lunch and the lady had an attitude. I asked to put an order in for the slices and her response was “You can.”(sarcastically) “But we’re not allowed to put the slices in until you get here, so.” So why not just say that new policy is you can no longer do that? Also, this never used to be an issue.
If I could give less than I star, I would. Place is renovated, nice but the food there is not good enough for how they charge. I went with my three kids and they charged over $7 of gratuity, which is supposed to be voluntary. Gratuity for a less than $40 bill without asking for it? NOT GOOD!! Plus bread there is nasty, pizza 1 star honestly. REALLY BAD EXPERIENCE, NEVER GOING BACK. Is not fair they charge gratuity just because the place is renovated. They want to get the money they spend in renovation back charging unwanted fees to customers?? DONT GO TO THIS PLACE. Réservez une table maintenant
A short Uber ride from our airport hotel at Newark we stumbled upon Comet Pizza. A stupendous place for a pie. Awesome pie, awesome people, definitely try the mozzarella log, absolutely to die for, all of it! Super friendly owners, give you that at home eating in your own kitchen feel. I'm tempted to make a special trip back to Newark just to have another comet pizza pie. My kind of place. Service: Dine in
