"Delicious meal. We all had the set menu which was excellent value at 30euros for 3 courses. Lovely atmosphere. The restaurant did not feel touristy. Waiter could not have been more helpful and even bought us out extra deserts."

My wife and I went to this place this week. Had pork dish with roquefort sauce. Tasty enough sauce and reasonable portion for EUR19. Meat was a little tough but OK. Problem I had was the vegetables Roquefort creamy sauce, with creamed mash potatoes, broccoli with heavy cheese sauce and heavily mashed turnip. Just really not going together well at all. All well and good having same vegetables for each dish for the evening but when they really do not go well together, do not expect a great review. Service OK. Dining room has a certain rustic charm but it does not mean you cannot tidy up the window frame had peeling paint and looked like it was rotting. Overall needs to try harder.

This was our first dinner in Paris and I can't imagine a better night. Every bite, sip and interaction was perfect. Prices were beyond fair and the food was exceptional. Ralph was funny, friendly and bent over backwards for us. My fellow Americans, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE remember that you are in FRANCE! Learn a little French and embrace this culture. You are not going to get a blooming onion, some chicken fingers and be out in an hour. You are going to sip wine, eat slow and connect with the person you are eating with. This place is gorgeous, old world, Paris. Duck salad, goat cheese profiteroles, Duck, steak and shallots and we let Ralph pick our deserts.

I've been coming here for eight or ten years now, each time I visit Paris, and it's always a pleasure. Housed in a fascinating old building dating back to the 14th century, apparently it serves excellent, classically Parisian food, with friendly service and at very reasonable prices (especially for the Marais). I'm only puzzled that each time I visit there seem to be so few other customers. A restaurant that deserves to be much better known.

This restaurant has a lot going for it (good location, friendly, leisurely service) but the food did not measure up to the ambiance on our recent visit. The empty dining room at 8:00 pm was an omen that was confirmed by the still-empty dining room when we left the restaurant two hours later. The food on offer is classic French at a reasonable price, so if you don't mind the lack of creativity on the menu you will be very comfortable here.
