Although my wife and I live south of the river and seldom travel north for a meal, we saw a tempting Scoupon offer and, having a medical appointment nearby, we made a booking. We were pleasantly surprised to find the location was in a quiet residential area, away from the hustle and bustle of the Beaufort Street strip. My wife ordered a Club Sandwich and I had the Ploughman's Lunch/Tapas. The Club Sandwich ($16.30) was well constructed. Plenty of chicken and bacon, quality bread and moist egg. Very average service, food and drinks took and very long time to come out - we both ordered poached eggs that were very over cooked, iced coffee ordered with NO ice-cream was served with ice-cream, we both felt immediately ill after the meal and my friend even threw up afterwards. Noone asked how our meal was either. Will definitely not be returning.

Nice Cafe hidden away in the suburban streets. Food isn't anything special but worth a visit. Nice on Sunday mornings for a coffee, read of the paper and some breakfast. Saw some flies trapped in the plastic covering over the muffins. Bit yucky, glad I didn't eat the muffins. Staff are friendly. Réservez une table maintenant

I visited this place for breakfast this week. I like this place ! Tables, chairs and internal design is little bit old style but I was there to eat and enjoy with hubby. I ordered eggs Benedict with salmon and I can say it was very tasty and fresh. Coffee a little bit bitter but good.

Beau café caché dans la banlieue du mont Lawley. Très occupé et une bonne ambiance. Super endroit pour vous emmener votre famille le week-end. Beaucoup de choix du point de vue des gâteaux / tranches et du café est très agréable.

Nice cafe hidden away in the suburb of Mount Lawley. Very busy and great atmosphere. Great place to take you family on the weekend. Lots of choice from the cakes/slices point of view and coffee is very nice.

I remember my first trip to Coode St Cafe three years agoIt all started terribly wrong as I navigated to the wrong Coode St.
