Hi folks...felt I had to get a review online for this great restaurant as they looked after us so well for lunch this past Mothers Day. This was our first visit, a vegan , a vegetarian and two hungry omnivores. Expected a hectic lunch with frenetic service but from the time I arrived (early) we were made to feel welcome, relaxed and pampered ! It was a stunning warm afternoon sitting at an outside table. Our waitress was charming, patient and knowledgeable. My whole experience at Cook and Mason was brilliant. My girlfriend has a difficult food allergy so I phone ahead to see if the menu would be suitable. The effort for customer satisfaction was incredible. Polite friendly and very accommodating. On arrival, the atmosphere is relaxing as soon as you walk up the stairs to the alfresco deck. All the waitstaff are friendly and genuinely welcoming. Every dish we had was a joy to eat. Craig took us through the menu and explained what the chefs would do to accommodate the dietary requirements. I can’t remember the last time I had such a great dining experience in Perth. From the moment we arrived we were treated to wonderful service by a variety of fun, friendly, chatty waiters. We were not pressured to order quickly, we felt very at leisure the entire night. The beer and wine list on offer was sensational! Every sip was an absolute treat, and we thought it was very well priced. Food was also fresh and delicious. Lovely ambience put on the back deck great vibe without it being too busy or noisy. Will definitely be back!
I was initially disappointed to hear that Barque had closed as it was fantastic. But this is a more than special replacement. Food is delicious, service is impeccable and the whisky sours are top notch! The stand out aspect has to be the care and attention the owners and chefs put into the ethical and sustainable sourcing of ingredients which positively impacts the environment as well as the flavour of the food. I'll be heading back here again, more than once.

If you're a food enthusiast, you absolutely have to visit Cook and Mason! The dishes they serve are nothing short of exceptional, accompanied by old-fashioned, personalized service. The menu is concise, but every item is incredible. The duck will leave you amazed, and the cabbage and pork crackling—it's hard to believe cabbage can taste that good! It's rare to find a restaurant where the main topic of conversation is just how fantastic the food is.
Cook Mason where to begin... Situated opposite the heritage/derelict Royal George building this restaurant/bar has all the charm of a hip drinking establishment in the heart of Carlton VIC. I came for the brews, stayed for the service and left because it was getting late. My advice: Kick off your weekend here for lunch and stay until the late hours of the evening! A George St gem that’s here to stay!
I visited this restaurant last night for the first time, and it was absolutely fantastic! The customer service was outstanding, and the menu explanations were spot on. Both my meal and dessert were incredible. If you're looking to try something a little different, this is the place to go!
A beautiful establishment with delicious food. Craig looked after us and kept us well fed and kept the drinks flowing. We had the chefs selection which provided us with a great variety of dishes. Definitely recommend this culinary experience.

I visited this restaurant for the first time while traveling across state and was thoroughly impressed. The flavors were fantastic, and I really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere.
