It was a pleasant experience dining here today with Sydneyguyrojoe and Gabbys79. We introduced ourselves, ordered the food and shared our culinary experience. Good food, great conversation what else can one expect.<br/ <br/ I ordered the Sizzling Mexican Chicken Fajitas. Sydneyguyrojoe ordered the Pulled Pork Burger which turns out to be very popular choice here. Gabbys79 ordered Cookies Beef and Guinness Pot Pie. I was so envious with her choice not only because it looks delicious, the size is also very generous.<br/ <br/ The food came out reasonably quick. I ordered the pulled pork burger and it was really tasty. A good sign for me is when the sauce and pork start oozing out from all sides! The burger was a good size, but I wish I had been given a bit more chips with it.
The meals ordered by Passionate Foodies (fajitas) and Gabbys79 (beef and Guinness pot pie) looked quite large to me.
The food came out quicker than I had expected and the staff were friendly. I wouldn't mind going back to try something else.

It's always nice when you have no expectations about what a place is going to be like and then you get totally blown away by how great it is. We popped into Cookies for an early dinner on a Sunday evening. The pub was warm, clean and welcoming. The bubbly bar team were super friendly and the food was amazing. I can highly recommend the pulled pork burger and chips with the chipotle dipping sauce. Totally delicious!
I like this place. Relaxed, clean and friendly atmosphere. The food is really great. But perhaps a tad overpriced. I always feel a bit out of pocket when realistically its just a pub. Staff are friendly. Service is fast. And servings are large. Happy to go back, but not all the time. Just a bit too pricey for a regular eating out place. :

Great meal/catch up kindly organised by Sydneyguyrojoe <br/ Ordered the Guinness pot pie which was a delicious stew with a pastry lid served with chips... Passionate Foodies had food envy but his fajitas looked so yummy and were apparently spicy and roger had a pulled pork burger. Nice and quick service, good prices and great company <br/
Be sure to try the Guinness Pot Pie!. Cookies is one of my favourite low-key places to grab a bite. Atmosphere is relaxed, quirky and cool, the menu features a list of all my favourite comfort foods, the portions are generous and full of hearty flavours and to top it off, the staff are always lovely. It's always a pleasure coming back.
The pub is located in a trendy area and offers a wide variety of food at affordable prices. The portions are large and the atmosphere was calm when we visited for lunch on a Sunday. It could get busy with locals at peak times. If I lived closer, I would definitely come back regularly.
The pie of the day is a beef and guinness pie. A hearty, chunky and flavoursome filling with a beautiful crispy yet flakey layer of pastry on top is served with a side of crunchy fries. A truly well made pie, and a huge one at that.

Not bad for Pub food. Friendly and welcoming Staff. Serving size for our meal was generous. Might come back again to try other food on their menu.
I am always impressed with the food and service at this restaurant. It is a great value and I highly recommend it.
