Nous voulions absolument essayer ce Restaurant(parce que les évaluations sur TA sont bonnes et que j´adore la cuisine Indienne) depuis des mois déjà. Nous avions essayé en janvier, mais c´était fermé et comme nous ne sommes que quelques fois par an dans le secteur, c´est seulement lundi dernier que nous avons réussi. Nous sommes arrivés trop tôt, à 11h30 alors que le Restaurant n´ouvre qu´à midi. Le personnel de salle n´était pas encore là mais le cuisinier, qui ne parle qu´anglais, nous a gentiment permis d´attendre sur place (il pleuvait). De ce fait, premiers arrivés, nous n´avons pas attendu longtemps pour être servis comme mentionné par plusieurs clients. Nous avons très très bien mangé...
Eines vorweg: Thalis in Deutschland zu finden ist sehr schwer, und so verdammt gute Thalis wie im Copper Bowl sind eine äußerste Seltenheit. Ich war überrascht, welche Geschmacksvielfalt in veganem Essen doch stecken kann. Stimmig auch das Ambiente; hier wurde ein uriges Esslinger Wirtshaus in eine beinahe meditative Atmosphäre getaucht. Einzig der Service war nicht optimal. Die Bestellung wurde erst nach sehr langer Zeit aufgenommen, das Essen kam vor den Getränken. Erst nachdem ich schon leicht genervt nachfragte, ob wir denn zum Essen auch etwas zu Trinken bekämen wurden die Getränke schließlich serviert. Vielleicht würde es Sinn machen bei schönem Wetter das Servicepersonal aufzustocken....
Till dates best Indian Restaurant i have ever visited in Stuttgart. If you are either visiting or living in Stuttgart Copper Bowl is a must place to try. If one has to experience the taste of South Indian food and enjoy a beautiful ambience this one is highly recommended. I personally loved it and gonna be my favourite South Indian restaurant. And please consider to get a table reserved mostly if you visiting on the weekends, you don´t want to go back disappointed without tasting the food.
The restaurant is specialized in south Indian vegetarian food, but is that kind of vegetarian food that is amazing and could forget the meat. The food hot level is pleasant but it depends on each person taste. The beer could be colder ;)The service is very friendly and will give you the right advice on what to order. The view over the city market and the church is great.We had Dinner already here 2 times and we are planning to have more.

Wir waren zum Mittagessen da. War sehr lecker. Haben uns auch sehr nett unterhalten und erfahren, dass sie ihre Zutaten immer frisch und regional holen und auch sehr auf Nachhaltigkeit bedacht sind. Das macht sich natürlich auch im Geschmack bemerkbar.Es gab sogar noch "gratis-Tipps" für unsere angefachte Indienreise. Vielen Dank nochmal für das schöne Erlebnis und sehr bald schon kommen wir wieder zum Abendessen. Beste Grüße Jens
We ate a Maharaja plate. A very good spiced plate with a lot of different tastes. It's worth a stop any time. It's only very very narrow so you better book a table in advance.
The dinner was fantastic. Idly and Dosa tasted like home food and I thoroughly enjoyed their service. Best place to try South Indian food in Stuttgart.
Very good and authentic south Indian food. Perfectly suitable for vegans/vegetarians. Not a lot of tables, reservation is recommended.
