Coppins Corners Diner

I've passed by a few times. I love little diners. Today was our first visit. Cute and clean inside. It isn't a large dining room. There is a lovely, large covered patio and that's where we sat.My breakfast was delicious. To my mind, there are a few things that elevate a regular breakfast. Coppins Corners does them all. My eggs were cooked exactly as I asked. The home fries were REAL.....as in not frozen. They were nicely seasoned and crispy in all the right places. Bacon was perfect. My toast was buttered properly. I visited Clarington Vet early one morning and found myself in search of a good diner. The vet tech mentioned there weren’t any nearby, but I have to disagree. Just a quick 9-minute drive away is Coppins Corner Diner, conveniently located at the Shell station. If this isn’t quintessential small-town charm, I don’t know what is. The diner offers a fantastic menu featuring all the classic diner staples, along with plenty of specials that include homemade pies and cakes. You'll quickly realize that every aspect of the place prioritizes cutting corners, relying on microwaving, and being as cost-effective as possible. I recently called ahead to arrange a group reservation for 15 people, and we were offered a buffet option. When we arrived, everything was set up with an ample amount of food and coffee available!
