A solid three star review. We came on a Sunday and COVID-19 measures were in full effect, complete with arrows and spacing between each table. The three of us were seated I the far corner, and service was prompt and courteous. You need to fill our your COVID-19 slip with names and numbers of all patrons, and you have the option to download the menu or puruse from one left at your table. Pur friend ordered a plain waffle (no custard or sugar) and my wife and I ordered omelets. My Spanish and cheese was fine, it came with a smidgen of potatoes you can dunk in your small ketchup cup. When in Markham my husband I always to his favourite place 'Cora 's '. As they serve all day breakfast you can add or change up the items on your order. (I 'm the one that likes that, tailoring my order). The severs are always pleasant on point. The absolute best part of the meals is the fruit! Depending on what you order (how much room is on your plate) it is filled with all sorts of wonderfully cut/detailed variety of fresh fruit! I love the place don 't mind at all considering the spent at fast food when passing through... The reason for not getting 5 's, there was a smell in the washroom. This was a ventilation issue not a toilet issue as I was the one person to use the toilets.
Glad we came back to try again, many years ago we had a bad experience here and never came back, but decided to try another time. Louis the Undecided was great, the sweet crepe was bigger than expected, it was packed with strawberries, banana and hazelnut spread, definitely satisfied the sweet tooth early in the morning! The bacon and eggs breakfast was decent, but the bacon was literally paper thin, never seen bacon cut this thin before, so the meat portion felt a little small on that. Otherwise it was a much better experience than before, both our servers are in training and they were lovely and cheerful.
I've been craving the Burrito Crepe so decided to order today via Skip the Dishes. It was almost as good as in person. The potatoes looked a bit pale and greasy but they tasted good. I ordered the smoked salmon eggs Benedict for my son and they looked so pathetic. The egg barely covered half the soggy English muffin and the smoked salmon? A scrap the size of a loonie was on one half and the other half was just barely covered. If this was something I ordered in person at the restaurant, I would have sent it back. Pretty disappointing, not to mention overpriced.
12 minutes ago Ordered small size Blueberry Pancakes for takeout.....panckaes tastes fine. Size and price isn't it. 2 pancakes no larger in diameter and thickness than what you get at McDonalds for $12 after tax....I know times are tough but this is pure price gouging! Stay away!
