Cordon's Taste Of Chicago

Stopped by for a tavern style pizza and it was average. Wondering if they use the same red sauce on their pizza as they do the pasta which would not be a good thing. Because was cooked perfectly. The sauce was average. Server was super friendly and explained up front the delay due to staffing issues. Plenty of free parking. Lots of tv's for watching sports. Also ordered a side salad and it was decent. So nothing special but also nothing bad about the place thus the 3 stars.

We live in Raymondville but were out here and asked where to go for itallian. My son suggested this place. OMG!! Soooooo good!! The food and service was awesome and the 80's music just cemented my enthusiasm. Sorry for the all the singing from our booth! Lol.

Do yourself a favor and ask for a Chicago-style pizza pie. It takes a while to cook, but it is worth the wait! And while you wait, try some fried pickles.
