We are American tourists who spent a weekend in Geisenheim as part of our Europe trek. We were staying at the Berg Schawrzenstein and were looking for a cheaper Sunday breakfast alternative than B-S that was close by. I found Cornels with just a quick search and was pleasantly surprised when we walked in. We were warmly greeted by the staff, and chose a cozy seat by the window. The "fruhstuck" (breakfast) is buffett style and is around 16 euros per person. It was a gorgeous German set-up: varieties of bread loaves and baguettes to self-slice, coffee & tea, charcuterie and cheese, fruits, granola, soft-boiled eggs, jams and fruit spreads, cucumbers and tomatoes, croissants, orange juice...so...
