It's a very nice place average atmosphere, Foods good ,the only thing is you have to go to the front counter and give your order, and then they bring it to you. I have visited this restaurant on multiple occasions and tried the Bleu Burger and the jalapeno burger, both of which were delicious. I suggest opting for the Seasoned fries instead of the regular ones. The service was very friendly, which is typical for a small town in South Dakota. This is the perfect stop for lunch with the kids during a long drive through South Dakota on Highway 212. The American diner serves delicious comfort food. Almost never open. Food just so so. Wish things were better- sorry. It is tolerable for breakfast but nothing special , honestly.
