Our visit to Costa Coffee at just after 9 am was met with disappointment as the teacakes and jam were unavailable. Nonetheless, we opted for toast with butter, accompanied by a slice of the delightful lotus cheesecake, complemented by a flat white and chai latte. The service was prompt, delivering nicely hot beverages. The toast arrived still warm, and the generous portion of the delectable lotus cheesecake was truly enjoyable. The staff showcased patience and a welcoming demeanor, while the café maintained a clean and inviting ambiance. Regrettably, the absence of jam and teacakes was a downside. I am disappointed in Costa Coffee. Today, my daughter, who is an NHS worker, visited your Chilwell store to treat herself. However, she was asked to leave after only 15 minutes of sitting quietly, enjoying her coffee and reading a book. This was because other customers wanted to sit down. She hadn't even finished her coffee. It was wrong and disrespectful to treat customers in such a manner. She left the shop feeling upset and in tears by the time she reached her car. Shame on you.
We waited in line for a long time because the service was slow. The man in front of us had already paid and was waiting for his drink when a mother and her four children walked in. They all pushed in front of us and ordered five more drinks on top of the man's order. The staff never even acknowledged us, taking their second order before ours.
I have a sweet tooth but I can still enjoy Costa's coffee without sugar. Their butter chocolate twist pastry was really buttery. Also, I was served by Ivy, a straight talking but very efficient and lovely lady, who, by the way, made my delicious coffee. Well worth the 45 minutes drive to visit Beeston's Costa. This is open for takeaways and serves the usual costa stuff. There is a queuing system but it's not enforced if people crowd in. They've taped off the outdoor seating and tables so there's nowhere to sit with your coffee. I suppose it's better than McD next door who don't do takeaway unless you have a car!

Up to the useual standard of Costa Coffe establishments, one gripe though, like most of them, they tend to have the air conditioning on even when it's cold, this makes the experience not that pleasant, the staff need to think about the customers comfort not their own Réservez une table maintenant
