I go in a lot of Costas across the country so have seen different levels in shops. Whilst on holiday on Weymouth in October 2023, me and my wife entered Costa in Wimborne and ordered our coffees, yhen my mobile phone rang as I was about to scan for my beans, it was a call from my cousin to inform me that my last uncle had passed away that morning. I passed out and the stroller that aids me walk went from under me, the members of staff according to my wife stopped serving and helped my wife get me to a chair and one member who was the first aider got me some water to sip and sat with us until i came round properly. Myself and my husband had the 30% off treat drop also a free coffee gift card from Vodafone. We were both charged in full because the girl serving us didn't admit that she didn't know how to put the gift card through until I made them aware at the end of the transaction. By the time I had waited for our coffee to be made, the food had gone cold. Also my bean wasn't added to my total as again the cashier didn't know what she was doing! Not a great experience and I would appreciate my beans added to my account. Thank you
Beautiful place to have a coffee with friends. There was plenty of seating inside as well as outside. The outdoor area has a brick roof, so you'll stay away from the rain while you can enjoy your drink and meal. Service was absolutely perfect. All the employees were friendly and helpful and served us with a smile, which to be honest is rare sight, nowadays. We'll definitely come back again if we have a trip to the area again.
So many tables waiting to be cleared. Grubby place. Staff seemed to be more interested chatting to each other in-between dropping the takeaway cups on floor as pulling out from dispenser then using them. Wimborne has plenty of lovely coffee shops much better than here. I had a voucher for a free hot drink so thought I'd try, nothing to lose. Hot chocolate was fine.
