Cote Brasserie Newbury

I've eaten at Cote many times before.Visited today table of 6 and had the worst experience.Table wasn't ready for a 1pm booking,Drinks did not arrive and took 15min before chasing the server to realise the order was not processed.Finally ordered our meal (2 x kids meals 4 x adults)Many missing items from the adults menu.Garlic bread arrive (thankfully in a timely manner and filled the gap)Little did we know that we would have to wait a further 75min at which point the children's order arrive however it was not the correct food (no apologies) so we sent that back and still no sign of food for the adults.I've never walked out of a restaurant in my life but at this point we decided to make our...

I had a wonderful dinner here with my mother in law. The greeting when we arrived was warm and welcoming which set the standard for the service all evening. The food was excellent and the team went over and above to accommodate my MIL's food allergy. The only reason I knocked a star off this review is because of the drinks. The shandy my MIL ordered they could only do by supplying a glass, a bottle of lager 4.95) and a small bottle of Fever Tree lemonade 2.95) and you mix it yourself. So, 8 for one shandy seemed steep to us but, lesson learned, it didn't detract from the fab dining experience we had. Well done to Cote Newbury, I definitely recommend this place for a lovely meal out.

In the evening, ok began with an attentive service from the manager who explains various elements of the menu, but it soon went downhill. it was very understaffed and served main course, while starter plates etc. have not yet been deleted. forget at the end of the evening with most workers for the night and had the bill on the table thrown by another guy who was too busy laughing at his buddy. Generally, it lacked personal interest and I really regretted that I could pay for the service included in the bill, but only wanted to get out. Eating was ok, but really rated.

Booked to celebrate our 7th Wedding Anniversary. It was a Monday evening, so the restaurant wasn’t very busy. The hospitality and food were second to none. We mentioned that we were there for our Anniversary and we were provided with two Celebrity drinks on the house!! The food was exceptional and we would highly recommend this restaurant

eating was amazing, we chose the Valentins menu to mark the occasion and not disappointed. the staff was very friendly and welcoming. it was a nice relaxing mood in the inner and could find a beautiful sniffing table for two. will return again

Shouldn't really take large bookings if your kitchen and serving staff can't cope ..food was mostly room temperature at best and my sauce was more a butter than a sauce..Staff just couldn't cope . We were 24 in number

worth was not the first thing that came in the senses when I decided to eat here, but when I compared the fantastic eating to the surprisingly favorable trips I realized, I let my guess mislead me. best recommended.

I mean...It's all fine, staff are pleasingly friendly and efficient, but the food probably should be better. Just about an upgrade on Cafe Rouge, which has thankfully gone from Newbury.

the waiter jake was in the spot! what a night to remember that I and my wife were 20 years high-time. will definitely come back here to see jakes smiles, illuminated the room.
